Check Out the New, Redesigned Seraphim Universe Blog!

Sometimes, my biggest problem is that I'm not a procrastinator.  See, I've been wanting to give this blog a tune-up for months now, but freelance work and writing projects kept getting in the way.  Because I'm not the type to procrastinate on my actual "work work", "blog work" falls to the bottom of the pile, and as a result most of this site has been "under construction" for some time now.
Well I'm happy (and a little nervous) to report that today I slacked off from my normal work to tweak this site, and make a few things available for download.
I've tried a dozen different configurations in an effort to make it easy for you guys to download free stuff from this site.  Now, thanks to the wonderful robots at Google Drive, I've got it down to as little as three clicks.  Above (or in the drop-down menu, if you're viewing this on a mobile device), you'll see a link to DOWNLOAD Free Stories and Books.  There, for your reading enjoyment, are two new selections available for free, in file formats that should read easily on your phone, tablet, or computer.  All you have to do is click on the appropriate link, and you'll be taken to a special folder on my Google Drive, where you can download your chosen file with one more click.  Three clicks: click on the tab above, click on the story you want, and click on the download button.  How easy is that?
For more info, check out my newly updated FAQ, or drop me a comment here or on Facebook!
Right now, there are just two things available: an updated version of an old horror story called The Grim Stalker, and an exclusive collection of essays, stories and fragments entitled Ramblings.  I hope you enjoy them!
Recently, I've finished a new short story entitled Deep, but unfortunately you won't be seeing that here for some time (maybe not ever).  I plan to submit it to online publishers, and if I'm successful, you can bet your ass I'll be whoring it up with some links.  So you'll get to read it eventually, one way or another.
I'm buried under the usual mountain of freelance work, but I'm squeezing in a little time to work on a new short as well.  I don't have a title for it yet (the working title sucks, so I'm not gonna tell you what it is), but I can tell you it's about a struggling farmer on a newly-settled planet.  Depending on how things go with Deep, I'll either be sending this story to publishers, or I'll just throw it up here for you all to peruse.
That's all the news for the moment.  Take the new site for a spin, and let me know what you think!
